Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire has revealed he will be out for around two to three weeks after picking up an injury in the draw with Aston Villa.

Maguire recently posted on Instagram: “Frustrating to get injure at the weekend. I’ll be out for a couple of weeks but will come back stronger than ever.

“Maguire was already absent from Lee Carsley’s England squad for October’s Nations League games against Greece and Finland, having been out of the Three Lions’ squad since missing Euro 2024 with a calf injury.

The loss of Maguire is unlikely to have much of an impact on Erik ten Hag’s squad, with the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof all at centre-back.
